At his concert in Greensboro, N.C., Bruce reached into the crowd for a girl’s ”Sunny Day” sign, placed it onstage while he played the song, then scribbled a note on the sign and returned it to her.
The tour’s ‘awww, cute’ moment(s) April 9, 2008Posted by springsteeninanaheim in Springsteen.
Springsteen’s soft side has been on display during “Dancing in the Dark.” During the Tuesday show in Anaheim, for example, instead of summoning a 2008 version of Courtney Cox to dance with him onstage, he plucked a little girl out of the crowd. She bopped alongside him for a moment, then Springsteen hoisted her off the ground, cradled her in his arms, and handed her back to the crowd, where she began high-fiving everyone around her. But that was just one part of her 15 minutes of fame. Earlier in the concert, Springsteen handed her his guitar pick after a song and, before cranking up the next tune, said, “This one’s for you, sweetie.”
He did something similar in Cincinnati in March. See this video at the 1-minute mark: http://youtube.com/watch?v=nndQQ34Js9A&feature=related
Those Mystery Go-Go Girls April 9, 2008Posted by springsteeninanaheim in Springsteen.
No offense to Springsteen and the band, who put on a great show, but the best part of Tuesday’s concert in Anaheim, Calif., was actually in the first row behind the stage. Two girls in their 20s — a brunette wearing a long-sleeve white shirt, and a blonde in a black tanktop — spent the entire 2.5 hours dancing, jumping and otherwise rocking out. The brunette, who moved in perfect rhythm to every song (the sign of a true fan), was especially fun to watch. The camera crew finally noticed them toward the end of the evening, briefly flashing their images onto the Jumbotrons during “Dancing in the Dark.”
If anyone out there knows the identity of these mystery girls, please have them send a photo to add to this post.
What’s under Miami Steve’s bandanna? April 9, 2008Posted by springsteeninanaheim in Miami Steve.

Dude, lose the bandanna already. Unless you’ve got a metal plate on your head, it’s time to follow Roy Bittan’s lead and embrace your baldness.

Is that the phone or are my ears still ringing?
